After the end of Socialism in Hungary, in the 1990s and 2000s plenty of plazas were built in Budapest and throughout the country. These buildings represented a new kind of aesthetics compared to the Hungarian architecture of previous decades. Clarity and a kind of minimalism characterized these large constructions, especially the higher quality ones in the capital and other major cities.
